Description of service
This is a comprehensive specialist service for the management of all Paediatric Respiratory conditions in children excepting lung transplantation.
Areas of Excellence
Paediatric Respiratory Medicine including asthma, allergy, cystic fibrosis, complex respiratory infections, flexible bronchoscopy, respiratory complications in patients with neuromuscular conditions, TB, sleep and long term ventilation
Further Information
We run the following out patient clinics
- Airway clinic: 1st Monday afternoon of month (jointly with Mr Mike Saunders)
- General clinic: 1st, 3rd and 5th Monday afternoons of month
- Respiratory clinic: Wednesday mornings
- CF clinic: Thursday morning
- CF drop-in clinic: Tuesday morning
- Respiratory nurse clinic: Friday morning
- Allergy/respiratory clinic: Friday afternoon
We also have clinics at Southmead Hospital:
- Respiratory clinic on Mondays afternoons
- Allergy clinic on 1st Tuesday morning of the month
- General clinic on other Tuesday morning
Referrals to clinics are usually via GPs in primary care.
