The work we do is supported
through the dedication and hard work of a range of organisations.
More information about our two main charities, Above and Beyond and
The Grand Appeal can be found below, as well as details of
other organisations which support the work of
the Trust.
Above & Beyond

Above & Beyond is the local charity that raises funds for
all Bristol's nine central hospitals. Each year, we invest some £3
million in projects that make a real difference to patients in our
city. We fundraise to improve the hospital environment, fund
innovative research, support and train hospital staff and provide
state of the art equipment.
Working with inspirational local people, we aim to make a
difference to every patient and every condition.
When patients, their families and friends want to say thank you
for the care they've received at the hospitals, they come to us.
Many want to pay tribute to the hospital that cared for them or
their loved ones; or show appreciation for the dedicated work of
hospital teams, while for some it is in memory of loved ones.
The generosity of our donors, supporters, volunteers and
fundraisers means we have been able to fund projects like improving
patient access to hospitals with the patient shuttle bus and
providing state-of-the-art equipment at the Bristol Heart
Institute. We have also funded a dedicated children's unit in the
Bristol Eye Hospital and helped to transform the Bristol
Haematology & Oncology Centre.

Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal (charity no
1043603)

As the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children's charity,
Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal has announced a new fundraising
campaign to support the expansion of the hospital. The Grand Appeal
is raising over £3.5 million to provide state of the art equipment,
family facilities and child-friendly artwork to provide the best
possible facilities to help save the lives of babies and children
from Bristol and around the South West and South Wales.
You can help us support sick babies and children at Bristol
Royal Hospital for Children by supporting our appeal to provide
pioneering new facilities for the hospital. By 2014 with the
integration of burns, neurosurgery and major trauma from Frenchay
Hospital and with new facilities funded by the Grand Appeal, the
hospital will be at the forefront of medical care in the
UK. The wonderful people at Icon Films have created a film
which you can view by clicking on the image below.

The Grand Appeal's new fundraising campaign is the latest
in a long line of support for the hospital. Over the past 18
years, the appeal has raised around £20 million for Bristol Royal
Hospital for Children to fund facilities that are not funded by the
NHS.

The Cots for Tots Appeal (Charity no 1043603)
The Cots for Tots Appeal supports the Neonatal Intensive
Care Unit at St Michael's Hospital and since 2007 has raised over
£1.2 million to provide life-saving equipment, cots and new
facilities for the South West region's specialist Neonatal
Intensive Care Unit.
The appeal has created Cots for Tots House - a new,
dedicated 12 bed family accommodation unit - which the appeal
offers free of charge to parents whose babies are treated at
NICU.
As the St Michael's Hospital special care baby unit
charity, The Cots for Tots Appeal continues to raise funds for
equipment for special care babies and to fund pioneering new
equipment to help save babies' lives.
