The work we do is supported
through the dedication and hard work of a range of organisations.
More information about our two main charities, Above and Beyond and
The Grand Appeal can be found below, as well as details of
other organisations which support the work of
the Trust.
Above & Beyond
Each year, we invest
some £3 million in projects that make a real difference to patients
in our hospitals. We fundraise to improve
the hospital environment, fund innovative research, support and
train hospital staff and provide state of the art
equipment.
Working with inspirational local people, we
aim to make a difference to every patient and every
condition. When patients, their families and
friends want to say thank you for the care they've received at the
hospitals, they come to us.
We have funded state of the art equipment including monitoring
units, incubators and tele-medicine facilities in the Bristol Heart
Institute; supported research projects and staff training and
development, improved patient access to the hospitals with the
provision of an extra city centre shuttle bus, funded the planned
re-development of the Bristol Eye Hospital and helped to transform
the Bristol Haematology & Oncology Centre.
Of course, behind all of these projects are the remarkable
people who make them possible, our supporters. People have rowed up
the Thames, cycled from Lands End to John O'Groats, organised
street parties, held bring and buys sales, zip wired and abseiled
to help us. Equally important are those that simply choose to make
a donation to support our work. Whatever you choose to do will make
a real difference to patients and the staff that treat them.

Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal and The Cots for Tots
Appeal
Wallace & Gromit's Grand
Appeal is the only charity fundraising exclusively for Bristol
Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC) and the Neonatal Intensive Care
Unit at St Michaels Hospital.
The Appeal was established in Bristol in 1995 and has spent nearly
£18 million on patient care, facilities, comforts and
state-of-the-art equipment, including a contribution of £12 million
towards the new hospital building.
The Appeal fundraises to improve the quality of life for
patients and their families by adding value to the excellent
clinical service provided by the staff. We fund items to
enrich and enhance a patients experience in the Children's Hospital
and Special Care Baby Unit, including arts, music, entertainment,
providing and supporting the provision of family accommodation,
funding patient information and DVDs, as well as providing funding
for a wide range of equipment from life-saving cots, beds and
ventilators to a child-friendly MRI scanner.
If you would like to join in with Wallace and Gromit and
the tens of thousands of people who support our work every year,
please contact us on 0800 919 649 or visit our website at www.grandappeal.org.uk
where you can see how to join in the Wallace and Gromit

Special Care Baby Unit and much more.
