Some psychologists work with patients and their families when they are inpatients on a ward - they will arrange this with you and your healthcare team. For outpatient appointments, please see the information below:

Children's Psychological Health Services - Bristol Royal Hospital for Children  - 0117 342 8168

Level 6 - Follow the signs to Speech and Language Therapy, turn the corner left and through the door with Speech and Language Therapy on it. Please sit on the chairs in the waiting area and let someone know you have arrived.

Level 5 Outpatients - Follow signs to Outpatients Department and report to reception.

Level 3 Outpatients - Follow signs to Outpatients Department and report to reception.


Maternity, Gynaecology, and Neonatal services - St Michael's Hospital  - 0117 342 1700

Clinical Psychology Clinics are held in two different areas of St Michael's Hospital. 

For appointments in the Clinical Psychology Room:

Please report to Reception on the Ground Floor (Level C) in the main entrance foyer of St Michael's Hospital (Southwell Street Entrance).  The Clinical Psychology Room is situated at the back of the entrance foyer- turn right immediately before you get to the ENT Department and the Clinical Psychology Room is at the end of the small corridor. Please take a seat in the waiting area until you are called.

For appointments in Gynaecology Outpatients:

Enter the hospital via the main entrance on Southwell Street. Turn immediately left and walk the length of the long corridor, past Pharmacy and Chapel until you come to a staircase. Walk up the stairs (or take the lift situated behind the stairs) to the First Floor.  Enter through the set of double doors on the right -hand side into Gynaecology Outpatients.  Report to Gynaecology Reception and take a seat in the waiting area until you are called.  

Adult and Teenage and Young Adult (TYA) Oncology and Haematology - Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre - 0117 342 1700

Level 4 - Please wait in the main reception area just through the revolving door and report to the reception desk.

Area 61 - Level 5 and Level 6. We will come and find you where we agreed to meet.


Adult Pain - Central Health Clinic - 0117 342 7582

Please enter via the main entrance, turn right at Sexual Health reception and follow signs to the Pain Clinic reception.


Adult Respiratory (including Cystic Fibrosis) - Bristol Royal Infirmary - 0117 342 8168

Respiratory department on level 2 in the BRI, where you have clinic.

If you are unhappy with the service you have recieved then please discuss it first with your psychologist or another member of your healthcare team.
