Qualified 1995 and worked as a specialist register for Clinical Oncology in 2006-7 in British Columbia Cancer Centre, Vancouver . Specialist in head and neck cancer; thyroid cancer; benign thyroid disease requiring radio-iodine; lymphoma and haematological oncology.

 

Dr Amit Bahl

Amit Bahl is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist with a special interest in breast and urological cancers. He is the research lead for Uro-oncology at Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre. He has led and developed the prostate brachytherapy service at Bristol, provided expert advise to NICE for the technology appraisal on new drugs, and has been an external service reviewer at oncology departments elsewhere in the country. He has been awarded the fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians. He is a current member of the National Cancer Research Institute Clinical Studies Groups for bladder cancer and chairs the penile cancer subgroup. He has been college tutor of the Royal College of Radiologists for ten years and has supervised several MD theses in breast and prostate cancer research. He has previously been a member of the Prostate clinical studies group, and is an Executive Committee member of the British Uro-oncology group. Dr Bahl is actively involved in research into breast, prostate, bladder and penile cancers, participates in clinical trials locally and nationally and regularly publishes articles in these research areas and has several presentations at national and international meetings. In 2012, Dr Bahl was awarded the Cochrane Shanks Jalil Professorship by the Royal College of Radiologists, London. He is Visiting Professor to 2 international centres.

Amar Challapalli

Specialising in the treatment of urological cancers with radiotherapy, brachytherapy and chemotherapy. He previously worked as a Locum Consultant Clinical Oncologist at The Royal Marsden Hospital, University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust in February 2014.

 

Dr Susan Masson-Consultant Clinical Oncologist

Susan specialises in the treatment of urological cancers with radiotherapy, brachytherapy and chemotherapy and qualified in 2013 in Bristol where she joined the oncology clinical team.
