Patient support nurse

The role of the patient support nurse is to discuss with patients any problems that they are experiencing due to sight loss.

-          explain different eye conditions, how they will affect the patient and how they will be treated

-          explain the importance of good eye health, including the use of eye drops

-          help patients to come to terms with their sight loss

-          provide a confidential service
