Cots For Tots

(charity no 1043603)

The Cots for Tots charity is part of Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal, and is the Special Care Baby Charity at St. Michael's Hospital, Bristol. Since 2007, the charity has worked tirelessly to provide life-saving equipment, cots and new facilities for sick and premature babies from the South West and South Wales, and funded the expansion of the Neonatal intensive care suite, doubling the provision for intensive care treatment.

In 2012 the charity created Cots for Tots House, a dedicated 12-bed 'home from home' providing free accommodation to parents, brothers and sisters whose babies are being treated. The House is situated directly opposite the Unit so families are able to stay together and close to their loved ones during an incredibly difficult time in their lives. This is especially vital to families who have travelled from as far afield as Cornwall to receive treatment at the South West's specialist centre.

As more and more babies born as early as 23 weeks are surviving, the unit is experiencing unprecedented demand for specialist cots with life-saving equipment. The charity needs your help to provide this pioneering care, funding equipment and ground-breaking treatments.

If you would like to support the Special Care Baby Unit, there are lots of ways you can help. Make a donation, host a fantastic fundraising event, or purchase our charity merchandise. Every year the charity organise cracking fundraising events for everyone to get involved - wear your most outlandish trousers for Wrong Trousers Day, or whip up some delicious homemade treats for The BIG Bake or even wear your Tinsel for Tots in December!
