Finding your way around
There are eight floors in the BHOC building. Your
appointment letter will say the floor and location where you are
due to receive your treatment.
Wheelchairs for patient use are at the main entrance of the
hospital.
The pharmacy and cashiers' office are both in the main BRI
Queen's Building. Printed directions are available on main
reception.
If you have any queries please ask our receptionist on the front
desk or any member of staff.
Food and drink
The WRVS coffee shop on the ground floor is open to
patients, visitors and staff. Open Monday to
Friday from 9am - 4pm. Vending machines are
available outside of opening hours on the ground floor.
The WRVS run a daily trolley service to the wards with
newspapers. There is a selection of books for sale in main
reception. Every inpatient bed has a free TV with access to
Freeview channels. The TVs were funded by the Friends of the
Oncology Centre. xbox and wii consoles and games are available on
the wards too, please ask for more information.
The Sanctuary
The Sanctuary (previously known as the Quiet Room) can be found
on the ground floor. This room is available for anyone to use for
any quiet or reflective time that is needed.
