Welcome! We are the specialist centre for
non-surgical treatments for cancer and provide radiotherapy and
haematology services to Bristol, North Somerset and South
Gloucestershire.
We hope this website will help answer some of the questions you
may have. We are here to help and support you, and so if you have
any questions that are not covered, please ask.
From the end of February
you'll see the new revolving door into the Bristol
Haematology and Oncology Centre (BHOC) in use, as the work to
extend and refurbish the facility nears completion. New lifts and
stairs outside the main entrance will take visitors directly to the
day unit, haematology and apheresis unit, while all other areas are
accessed via the main reception. A directory of our services,
floor by floor, is available here.
We're also opening more parking
spaces in front of the hospital, as well as additional parking
nearby on Marlborough Hill. See our map of nearby alternative car parks.
Planning your first visit to the centre
Our patient's guide
to the BHOC is packed with information on our services.
Download a printable
guide on how to find us or read online. When you arrive please
report to the reception desk on the ground floor, where our
reception team will be happy to direct you to the right place.
If you have any questions about
your outpatient appointment time, please telephone 0117 342
2460.
Coming to visit friends or relatives on the ward
There are two wards in the centre, Ward 61 and Ward 62.
Ward 61 cares for patients
receiving radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment, as well as those
who develop treatment side effects. Ward telephone number:

342 2428
Ward 62 cares for patients with
haematological conditions, including non-malignant conditions like
haemophilia and sickle-cell disorders. Please note that as of
Friday 7 June, Ward 62 will have moved to temporary new location
while essential refurbishment work takes place at the Bristol
Haematology & Oncology Centre over the next six months.
To access Ward 62 please follow the new signs from the main
reception of the BHOC.
Ward telephone number:

Both wards have open visiting hours to allow visitors the
flexibility to visit patients when convenient. Please help us to
prevent the spread of infections in our hospitals. We may need to
restrict the number of visitors at any one time, and if you or
anyone you have been in close contact with has been unwell in the
last 48 hours with symptoms of diarrhoea, vomiting or flu please do
not visit. Find
