On foot or by car

The hospital is on Whitchurch Lane, between Hartcliffe and Whitchurch. 

Parking

Please note: there is a height restriction of 2.1 metres in the main car park. 

There is limited parking at the site, which will need to be paid for, unless you are a blue badge holder.

The charges are as follows:

Up to 1 hour      £1.50
Up to 2 hours    £2.50
Up to 3 hours    £4.00
Over 4 hours     £6.00
Up to 24 hours  £12.00

Blue Badge Holders

Free parking for Blue Badge Holders.

We have 15 bays available at the front of the hospital, upon these bays being full please park in the main car park and inform reception who will validate your parking.

Wheelchairs are available in the main atrium should you require them for use whilst you are visiting us.

Paying for parking

Parking tariffs apply 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Failure to comply with terms and conditions will result in a Parking Charge of £100.

The onsite parking at South Bristol Community Hospital is managed externally, with Parking Eye responsible and bays are monitored by cameras using the Parking Eye ANPR system.

  • No tickets are needed.
  • Enter your vehicle registration at the machine when you leave.
  • Machines accept coins, notes, and cards.
  • You can also pay by phone.
  • See signage in car park for terms & conditions.

By bike

There are a number of cycle paths leading to the hospital. Secure bicycle anchor points are available at the front of the hospital.

By bus: buses stop outside the hospital.

Bus services which serve Hengrove Park are:

  • m1: Cribbs Causeway → Hengrove Park
  • 75: Cribbs Causeway → Hengrove Depot
  • 76: Cribbs Causeway → Hengrove Depot
  • 36: St Anne's → Highridge
  • 37: Knowle West → Avonmouth
  • 515: Stockwood → Imperial Park

First Bus runs the m1, 75, 76, 36 and 37.

The Big Lemon runs the 515.
