Lutathera (lu-177) for treatment of neuro endocrine tumours
This treatment uses a radioactive substance (a radionuclide)
called Lutathera. We aim to give four treatments, usually as an
outpatient, and approximately eight weeks apart. You will be in
hospital all day, but able to go home late afternoon, with
restrictions to follow regarding being close to other people.
During the day, two separate infusions are given, one taking about
for 30 minutes containing the radioactivity, and the other taking
four hours, aimed at protecting your kidneys from some of the
radioactivity. Radiographers will be with you throughout the day,
but family and friends will not be allowed to visit.

leaflet here.
