Why is it important to test and calibrate equipment?
- As per nGMS contract, management point 7 3 Quality and
Outcomes Framework (QOF) points can be claimed by having a medical
equipment/devices tested and calibrated.
- For devices where readings are used for diagnosis and
recording, it is paramount that these readings lie within
the parameters set by manufacturers.
- A structured annual planned maintenance service for testing and
calibrating helps reduce unexpected corrective maintenance costs,
reducing valuable downtime and inconvenience.
- Medical drugs and vaccines require medical refrigerators with
prescribed ambient temperatures that in reality do waiver.
This can affect medicines inside and could be detrimental for
patients and an unnecessary expense to your practice.
We will issue you with an easy access summary certificate as
evidence that performance/functionality tests have been carried
out for your QOF audit and also identify and report any
unlocated devices from established inventory.
