Try not to worry about moving to the adult hospital. Everyone is welcoming

There may be occasions when you feel down and find it difficult to cope. These feelings can be triggered if there is a change or deterioration in your health. People deal with stress in different ways; it is a good idea to share your concerns with someone. Sometimes it helps to speak with someone outside of the family or who has been through a similar experience.

For some information about coping with your heart condition, feeling low or anxious you can find out more here, alongside details for the Somerville Foundations Mental Health and Wellbeing Co-ordinator.

For information about accessing psychological and counselling services please talk to your nurse specialist, we have psychologists in both the childrens and adult teams who can give you support if you have worries about your heart condition.

If you need help now because of feeling desperate, despairing or suicidal please contact the Samaritans on 08457 90 90 90, they are available 24 hours a day.
