To inform him of your research project you should write to him
at above address and include in your letter:
- the title of the project
- details of what information you intend to collect
- what method you will be using (e.g. review of medical records,
interviewing subjects etc)
- a description of the arrangements you have made to keep the
data secure, including at what point and how you will anonymise the
data or justification if you are not.
If you are using information sheets and consent forms approved
by the Research Ethics Committee it is a good idea to include these
to allow Dr Luker to assess whether what you intend to do is
covered by these documents.
