in different areas of Maternity Care.

Diabetes in pregnancy - Peggy Woodward

Works within the Joint Endocrine Antenatal Clinic with staff from
the BRI as well as St Michaels.
Antenatal and Newborn Screening - Wendy

Responsible for co-ordinating and updating guidelines for the
Antenatal and Newborn National Screening Committee Programmes such
as Hepatitis, Triple Test and Haemaglobinopathies.

Work within the Bristol wide Maternity Drug Team holds joint
clinics with Bristol Specialist Drug and Alcohol Service and
Bristol Drugs Project.
Young Parents - Kerrie Purdy

Has responsibility for parents up to 19 years of age. Holds
sessions at The Meriton School and joint antenatal clinics with a
Connexions worker.
Infant Feeding Co-ordinator - Joan
Beales

Works with women and health professionals to improve knowledge and
care around infant feeding issues. Also, works with a team of
nurses on the Neonatal Unit.
The specialist midwives co-ordinate care for their specific
client interest and act as a knowledge resource, offering advice
and support to the rest of the hospital and community staff.
All the specialist midwives are happy to be contacted by clients
