Further information
We offer specialist clinics dealing with all forms of arterial
and venous disease except for the heart.
Conditions we treat
Carotid artery stenosis - narrowing of the carotid artery
causing mini-strokes, strokes or transient blindness in one eye.
Surgery for some patients can prevent future strokes.
Abdominal aortic aneurysm - ballooning of the main artery in the
abdomen, which can rupture leading to death if left untreated. Both
open surgery and keyhole surgery with stents available, restoring
those affected to normal life expectancy.
Peripheral arterial disease - narrowing of the arteries to the
arm or leg, causing pain on exercise and can lead to ulceration or
gangrene and loss of the limb. Full range of treatment available
including supervised physiotherapy exercise classes, balloon
stretching (angioplasty) and bypass surgery.
Varicose veins - surgery or injection for varicose veins causing
complications (bleeding, phlebitis, ulceration), skin damage or
pain with a severe effect on quality of life.
Any other disorders of arteries or veins (except for the
coronary arteries and heart) where interventional treatment would
be of benefit.
Disorders of lymphatics - diagnostic service available for
lymphoedema.
Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) - botox injections and
keyhole sympathectomy available
