Top tips for clinic

  • Please turn up on time. We do our best to fit as many patients in to clinics as possible and need your help to make them work smoothly.
  • If you can't make it to your appointment, let us know as soon as possible by calling respiratory department appointments on 0117 342 2615.

What to expect

When you arrive in the respiratory outpatient department, check in with the reception clerk. You will be taken to a room - please make your way there as soon as possible to minimise the risk of cross infection.

You will be seen by one or more members of the team. If you need "spirometry" (blowing tests) this will be done in a room just outside Respiratory Outpatients.

Please remember that it is likely that several members of the team are seeing several patients in the same session, and you may have to wait for a team member to become available.

If you would like to see a particular member of the team (e.g. a dietician) during your clinic visit let us know at the beginning of the clinic and we will try to make sure this happens.
