Matthew Beasley trained at the University of Leicester and qualified in 1995. He worked as a specialist register for Clinical Oncology in 2006-7 in British Columbia Cancer Centre, Vancouver.

Specialises in: Urological Cancer, Skin Cancer

Amar Challapalli undertook his medical training at Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, India and specialised in clinical oncology at Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India and qualifying in 2009.

He previously worked as a Locum Consultant Clinical Oncologist at The Royal Marsden Hospital and joined University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust in February 2014. He specialises in the treatment of urological cancers with radiotherapy, brachytherapy and chemotherapy.

Specialises in: Breast and Urological Cancer

Amit Bahl is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist with a special interest in breast and urological cancers. He trained in Calcutta, India ad qualified in 1991. He is the research lead for Uro-oncology at Bristol Oncology Centre and has led and developed the prostate brachytherapy service at Bristol.

He also provides expert advise to NICE for the technology appraisal on new drugs.

Serena Hilman trained at the University of Bristol and qualified in 1997. She specialises in the treatment of urological cancers with radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Specialises in: Neuro-oncology in Young Adults and Children

Alison Cameron trained in Bristol in the 1990s. Her clinical oncology training was both in South Wales and Bristol and she has worked as a consultant in Bristol since 2007.

She has extensive experience treating patients with stereotactic radiosurgery and radiotherapy in Bristol since 2007 and is both the Gamma Knife lead clinician and Macmillan Teenager and Young Adult with Cancer lead clinician.

Clinical interest: Neuro-oncology; Skin and Urological Cancer

Chris Herbert qualified in medicine at Birmingham University in 2000. He trained in Clinical Oncology in Bristol and completed his oncology training as a clinical research fellow at the British Columbia Cancer Agency in Vancouver, Canada.

Appointed as consultant clinical oncologist in Bristol in 2011, he has an interest in technical radiotherapy, specialising in the treatment of adult brain tumours, including stereotactic radiosurgery, skin tumours and urological cancers.

 

 

Stephen Falk

Clinical interest: Thoracic and Gastro-Intestinal Cancers

Stephen Falk qualified from Liverpool University in 1983 and spent a period in Liverpool undertaking a general medical rotation.  He then trained in Oncology in Cardiff and Cambridge, becoming a consultant in Bristol in 1994.

His major clinical interests are thoracic (lung) and gastro-intestinal malignancies (oesophagus, stomach, pancreas, colo-rectal).

 

 

 

Dr Susan Masson - Consultant Clinical Oncologist

Specialises in: Urological Cancer

Susan Mason trained at the University of Nottingham and qualified in 2013 in Bristol where she joined the oncology clinical team. She specialises in the treatment of urological cancers with radiotherapy, brachytherapy and chemotherapy.

 

 

Dr Hoda Al Booz - Consultant Clinical Oncologist

Clinical interest: Gynaecological and Head & Neck Cancers

Hoda Al Booz is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment for Gynaecological cancers and for cancers of the Head and Neck. She trained at Ani Shams University and qualified in 1989. Hoda has expertise, and a special interest, in using specialised radiotherapy techniques such as Brachytherapy, IMRT and VMAT.

 

 

Dr Charles Comins - Lead Doctor for Radiotherapy and Consultant Clinical Oncologist

Clinical interest: Breast and Lung Cancer

Charles Comins trained in oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital and Mount Vernon Hospital in London, and qualified in 1999 moving to Bristol in 2010. He has expertise in the oncological treatment of breast and lung cancer including drug treatments and radiotherapy. He has a particular interest stereotactic radiotherapy for lung tumours.

 

 

Dr Jessica Jenkins - Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Lead Doctor for Chemotherapy

Specialises in: Breast and Lower Gastrointestinal Cancers

Jessica Jenkins is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist, she trained at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London and was a Consultant in Kent before moving to Bristol in 2016. She was appointed UH Bristol Cancer Lead for the 100K Genomes Project and has expertise in the oncological management of Breast and Lower Gastrointestinal Cancers, using systemic anticancer drug treatments and specialised radiotherapy techniques including IMRT and VMAT.
