The Medical Equipment Management
Organisation (MEMO) is the trading arm of University Hospitals
Bristol NHS Foundation Trust's Division of Diagnostic and Therapy
and Medical Physics and Bio-engineering Department.
MEMO operates as a commercial organisation supplying services to
a variety of public and private sector healthcare
organisations.
As a trading operation MEMO has freedom to act in order to serve
its customers to the highest standard.
Like all other departments in UH Bristol, MEMO is controlled by
its standing financial instructions and clinical governance
arrangements.
However the management of MEMO have sufficient delegated
authority and status to ensure that service commitments are
delivered to organisations outside of the Trust without prejudice
to agreed standards of delivery.
