Paediatric Critical Care Level's 1 & 2 (HD)



Course Overview

Issues relating to recognition, assessment and treatment of the deteriorating child will be covered.  At the end of the course students will be expected to be able to manage infants, children and young people requiring level 1-2 Critical Care, perform a holistic assessment, undertake all skills relevant to their care, seek support, and escalate & act on concerns.

Is this course for you?

A minimum of 18 months nursing experience in a variety of settings including dedicated Paediatric High Dependency / Critical Care Units, Paediatric Ward areas, Emergency Departments and General Intensive Care Units. 

University Accreditation (Optional)

The module is designed to meet the equivalent standards of a 20 credit Degree level module. For advice regarding APEL and work based learning modules please contact the Faculty.
