CQUINS (Commission for Quality and Innovation) Framework

The Commission for Quality and Innovation framework sets performance targets for individual Trusts which are linked to additional payments to reward excellence.

National NHS patient survey results

The CQC carries out national surveys to establish performance against national targets asking patients across England about their experiences of local health services provided by acute trusts.

The results offer an insight into the experiences of both inpatients and outpatients, and can be used to improve the quality of the care they receive in hospital.

Performance against national targets

The government sets a number of performance targets covering everything from waiting times to hospital acquired infection rates. Updates of how the Trust is performing against these targets can be found in the Board Reports. View the latest Board Report.

Strategic direction (5 year plan)

The University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust commissioned an integrated business plan which details the Trust's five year plan. This plan is under continuous review: please contact the Legal Services Department for a copy.

Dr Foster

Dr Foster works with most health service organisations to produce independent guides to health services in the public and private sectors. The Dr Foster 2012 guide brings together information on patient safety, clinical effectiveness and patient experience.
